meet austin
Austin is a dedicated public servant, lawyer, and proud Cleveland native. He grew up in a union family and was the first in his family to attend a traditional college.
He joined the Bibb Administration to serve his fellow Clevelanders—defending workers' rights, holding slumlords accountable, and securing resources to combat illegal guns.
Austin and his wife Anna are raising their young family in Tremont. They’re committed to their neighborhoods as safe places to live and play, surrounded by a strong and lively community.
For Austin and Anna, Cleveland is home in every sense of the word. They subscribe to the Ohio City Farm’s weekly produce, watched the eclipse in Lincoln Park, got engaged in Wendy Park, and think the Ms. Dyngus Day pageant is one of the city's best traditions.
ISSUES
Our Near West Side community deserves nothing less than leadership that believes in its people and listens deeply—and then gets to work to deliver real solutions.
In this time of eroding institutions and attacks on vulnerable communities, we must stand up against the injustice around us. Together, we can build a city government and a community fabric that takes care of its own.
Our neighborhoods—Detroit Shoreway, Ohio City, Tremont, the Flats—should be places where everyone can put down roots, feel safe, and access the resources they need to thrive. That means investing in community-centered streets, more housing, better parks, and a strong local government that works for all of us.
By building on our incredible strengths, we can ensure that the Near West Side remains a vibrant and welcoming place for all.
